The Bloods are pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Dimech as our Reserves Coach for 2018.
‘Dimma’ joins us after gaining experience coaching Underage teams at Hoppers Crossing and Avondale Heights, and in more recent times he’s been involved at senior level with Avondale Heights and Wyndhamvale.
It's the first time since 2015 that our Reserves team has had a non playing coach and Football Manager Brad Jamison is pleased the Club has been able to secure a Reserves Coach before the beginning of our pre-season training block. "We had a few applications for the role which was great. I worked with Daniel at Hoppers Crossing and was impressed with the way he's prepared to develop young players and promote players to play the highest level of football they can".
He notes that our Reserves team will take a different focus next year with a number of players moving up from the Under 18.5 team and into the Senior ranks. "There will be a big focus on development and getting the boys ready for senior football. Successful clubs are strong across the board, clubs in finals often have both their seniors and reserves teams involved. We want that to be our goal. Our depth is important and players competing for Senior spots will have a flow on impact at Reserves level".
Dimech joined the Bloods at training for the first time on Wednesday night.
Welcome to the Bloods Dimma.
